Kelly Cappio Interior Design uses a mix of styles to achieve a signature result—bright and elegant interiors that are as livable as they are beautiful. Kelly discovered her passion for interior design while decorating her first home and then gut-renovating her second home. Family and friends began to seek her design advice on their own projects, inspiring Kelly to eventually found her own firm, Kelly Cappio Interior Design.

As a mother and frequent entertainer, Kelly understands that our spaces need to be more than stylish—they need to withstand the demands of our daily lives, whether kids, dogs, or dinner party guests. She aims to create interior spaces that marry form and function.

Kelly was raised in Virginia and attained an undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a master’s degree from The George Washington University. She has traveled around the world and lived in Spain and Australia. In 2017, she relocated from Washington, DC to Charlotte, NC where she now lives with her husband, 3 young children, and 2 poodles.
